Description
The Scout Lite MB31 is the simplified version of our popular Scout battery. This battery is one of the best choices for complete Off-Grid capable caravans, RV’s, canopies and boats.
It was designed with running a 3000w inverter at full load in mind (250 A), so it can handle high current on its own. However using 2, 3 or even 4 together will increase capacity to give you longer running time.
It’s built with EVE brand MB31 EV grade cells, and a Heltec Hardware BMS. The case is an industry standard ABS style, with M8 connection terminals.
The Scout Lite has an ingress protection rating of IP67 (dust-tight and very high water resistance), meaning it can be mounted externally. While it is rated for submersion at 1 metre depth for 30 minutes, we always recommend mounting positions away from water and road debris where possible, to optimise long-term battery preservation.

Best battery you can buy and packs a punch for its size
Excellent battery and excellent service
Once again another top quality product that is above the advertised rating, quick delivery with great communication, warranty and back up service which I am sure I will never need, Australian product built in Australia
I love the Scout Lite series and as a small installer use them primarily as I have external battery monitors (Victron and Junctek) in the mainly Motorhome installs that I do.
They are a “mighty beast” when you consider the power, capacity and flow (250Amps for a 3000W inverter yes please) and are an easy upgrade (less than $1 per Ah more) for factory supplied batteries that are inferior in size/weight and woefully deficient in running anything 240V off grid such as a microwave or kettle.
The PPA team is also super responsive to ordering requests, custom needs and provide a great customer experience, I will continue to use them for my installations and recommend them to many others in the Motorhome group that I’m part of
