There are two different displays available for our Nifty batteries, the Regular and the Enhanced display.
*** Note: Scout battery is no longer available with the Enhanced or external display ***
These options MUST be chosen at the time of ordering, and in some cases there may be a delay of up to a couple of weeks while we build your model, however we will try to keep some in stock.
On the product page you will find a dropdown box to choose your display option. Please select the version you want according to the display type, and Internal or External mounting. The price will automatically be updated. Then proceed through the short questions to complete your order.
Regular Display and 2m USB type C extension.
The Regular Display provides a quick approximate SOC visual guide in 4 steps.
No LED = 0% SOC
1 LED = 1-24% SOC
2 LEDs = 25-49% SOC
3 LEDs = 50-74% SOC
4 LEDs = 75-100% SOC
The Enhanced Display provides a 4 bar visual SOC display as well as Voltage, Current, Temperature, Status and SOC reading down to 1% resolution. It can also be set to turn off the display after 30 seconds or stay on permanently.

Why do you use Daly BMS instead of JBD or JK? Daly has awful reviews and there are a lot of anecdotal reports online about reliability issues.
Jason the problem is that people don’t use them properly. The majority of people only use the BT module to program it, and never plug it into the PC to get to the rest of the settings. The the default settings are not ideal for most people. Some of the firmware programming is also not ideal, so we have had our own firmware developed. The people who are getting bad results, are pushing the blame onto the BMS, where it’s actually the setup that’s the problem.
Ultimately it’s not a very DIY friendly BMS, but for manufacturers like us, it’s very reliable and we trust them.
JK and JBD are also good. I have used both but our customers are happy with this model of BMS.
Is it possible to extend the cable for the Enhanced Display? On my boat the panel for the electrics is some distance from the battery box, at least 6m with the routing.
Yes we can add the extension cables in series so 3 cables will reach 6m. Just discuss this with us when purchasing.
