Why do we ask these annoying questions when someone wants to purchase a battery?

Why We Ask Questions Before Selling You a Battery

*** If you’re one of our customers that has had these questions potentially save you from failure or trauma, please help others by jotting a few words in the comments. ***

PowerPaul has always had one-on-one contact with every customer, and that has resulted in almost non-existent returns due to the product being unfit for purpose. Asking these quick and simple questions when a customer places an order gives us the chance to engage in conversation regarding anything that might not be ideal about their system.

While we don’t go into system design or installation (we have a network of installers who can help you with that here https://powerpaul.com.au/stockists-and-installers-directory/ ), we do know a lot about what does and doesn’t work well. The primary component is always the chargers. We check the brand and model of charger and if it’s a known “good” one, then there’s a green light. But if someone says they’re using brand-x charger, it’s a good time for us to ask a few more questions or make suggestions to ensure the system should work correctly first time.

While this system isn’t foolproof, it’s been almost perfectly effective and to date we’ve had just ONE battery that didn’t work in a customers system (even then the customer acknowledged it wasn’t our fault). This track record is exceptional in todays “click to buy” market and we’re very proud of that.

We know it annoys some people, but it’s normally a minute or two worth of time that can save hours, days or weeks worth of aggravation when things don’t work. Even more so it helps save the often huge freight costs of these items. Spending a couple of minutes of time on something that costs you days or weeks of work to afford, is a no brainer.

We’re yet to see any other brand take this approach, instead they’re happy to just take the money as quickly as possible. We would prefer to not make the sale if we think the resulting system would not meet or exceed expectations.

I love the fact these questions are asked. I believe it helps both the customer and PowerPaul Australia understand more precisely how the battery will be used. This helps prevent possible installation in a system that isn’t designed and/or can’t cope with lithium batteries. After all it’s your hard earned $$$’s you are spending and as customers we should be thankful we are dealing with a business that takes the time to care as opposed to “thanks we will simply take your money and after that it’s NOT a issue with OUR battery so it must be your system. People should be thankful PowerPaul Australia actually cares. More should adopt the same business model.
